My journey into the world of computers and programming began at age eleven, in a small computer school in Owerri, Imo State, called Neka Cinez. It was run by the renowned educator, Dr. Mrs. Gloria Chukwukere, and it was there that I first encountered the magic of technology.

I still remember the thrill of typing commands in DOS, navigating early software like Lotus 1-2-3 and WordPerfect, and even downloading and playing games like Castlevania from a floppy disk after class. I was hooked. For the first time, I saw how a computer could transform imagination into action—and how understanding a programming language meant holding the keys to an entirely new world.

That moment changed my life.

This bootcamp—Kids Code & Play—was born from that spark. Our goal is simple but powerful: to ignite the same light in the minds of children who may not otherwise get the chance. We envision a world where every child has access to tools that shape their lives positively—where tech literacy, creative confidence, and opportunity aren’t luxuries, but a right.

Over the course of our 8-month program, each child will:

• Build a personal and group project

• Experience what it feels like to be a software engineer

• Learn critical thinking through first principles

• Explore financial literacy

• Make friends, build networks, and have fun through collaborative games

This program is a gift of possibility. And it is dedicated with love and gratitude to Prof. Mrs. Rose Chinyere Acholonu, Keziah Egbukwu, and Rose Chiema Ezeocha—whose strength and wisdom continue to inspire.
